Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 18 July 2026
1.Scope of this statement
This statement applies to the website available at kyoraikitchen.com, operated by Igor Wnuk.
2.Compliance status
The Site aims to comply with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard. As of the date this statement was prepared, the Site is partially compliant — below we list both the solutions already implemented and the known limitations.
3.What already works
- A "Skip to content" link that allows keyboard users to bypass navigation.
- A semantic heading structure (h1–h3) on every page.
- Alternative text (the
altattribute) describing product and lifestyle photography. - A visible keyboard focus indicator (
:focus-visible) on links, buttons, and form fields. aria-labellabels for icons with no text description (cart, search, account, social media).- Support for
prefers-reduced-motion— animations and scroll effects are disabled for people who have reduced motion in their system settings. - Text contrast against the background deliberately chosen to exceed the minimum WCAG thresholds for body text.
4.Known limitations
- A full keyboard-only navigation test has not yet been carried out on every page (including the cart panel and the search modal overlay), nor has screen-reader testing.
- The cart and search panels do not yet implement a focus trap — during keyboard navigation, focus may "leak" outside an open overlay.
- Some decorative graphic elements (e.g. thin gold accents, background texture) have not been formally checked for contrast — however, they carry no content, so the accessibility risk is limited.
- The "Featured products" carousel is scrolled with a mouse/touch and arrow buttons; it has not been fully tested with assistive technologies.
5.Reporting accessibility issues
If you encounter a barrier while using the Site, please report it to kyorai.kitchen@gmail.com — describe which page it concerns and what device/assistive software you're using. We will do our best to respond and remove the reported barrier within a reasonable timeframe.
6.Date of preparation
This statement was prepared on 18 July 2026, based on a self-assessment carried out by the team that built the Site.
